Frequently asked questions
- How much does shipping cost?
- It is a flat rate by region and it is shown before you pay. Most destinations are USD 15. Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, China are USD 10. Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar are USD 30.
- Will the shipping fee change at checkout?
- No. Pick your delivery country at the top of any page and the exact shipping cost appears there, alongside the estimated delivery window. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay.
- Do you ship worldwide?
- Yes, to most countries. The two exceptions are Turkey and Brazil, which we currently cannot deliver to. If your country is not in the drop-down list, message us and we will quote it for you.
- How long does delivery take?
- Estimated delivery is 7–15 days worldwide. That is the transit window after your order leaves the workshop, and it is tracked the whole way.
- How long before my order ships?
- Engraving takes 1–3 working days. Your lighter is made to order, so nothing ships until your piece has actually been engraved and checked.
- Is tracking included?
- Yes. Every order ships with a tracking number, and you get it with your order confirmation so you can follow the parcel yourself.
- Do you ship from a local warehouse, or direct?
- Direct, from our own workshop. There is no overseas warehouse and no middle leg — your parcel is engraved, packed and handed to the carrier in one place, which is why the transit estimate stays at 7–15 days rather than stretching to three weeks.
- Is shipping free?
- No — it is a flat rate rather than free, and we say so up front instead of hiding it in the product price or adding it at the last step. The rate is USD 15 for most destinations, USD 10 for Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, China, and USD 30 for the Gulf and Israel.
- Are customs duties or import taxes included?
- The shipping fee does not cover any import duty or tax your local customs authority may charge. Those are set by your country, not by us, and are paid on arrival if they apply.
- What if my parcel does not arrive?
- Message us on Instagram @axlighter with your order number. If a tracked parcel is lost or arrives damaged, we send a replacement rather than asking you to post anything back.
- Can I still change my delivery address?
- If your order has not been handed to the carrier yet, yes — message us as soon as possible with the corrected address. Once it has a tracking number, the address can no longer be changed.
- Does the lighter ship with fuel?
- It ships with a flint fitted but no lighter fluid, because flammable liquids cannot travel by air. See the full explanation and how to fill yours on our fuel and flint page.
- What is the return window?
- Returns are accepted within 60 days of delivery. Message us with your order number and we will walk you through it.
