A holographic lighter is not a sticker or a print. It is your artwork carved into metal with real depth that shifts as the light moves. Here is exactly how a custom one is made, what we need from you, and what is included in the commission.

A sample of what is in stock right now.
A holographic engraving starts from a flat image, but the finished piece is anything but flat. We convert your artwork into a depth map — a grayscale model of how deep each part of the design should sit below the surface. The laser then carves that depth into the metal, so highlights and shadows are physically there. When you tilt the lighter, the image appears to move and catch the light like a hologram.
The single biggest factor is contrast. Bold, high-contrast artwork with a clear single subject reads beautifully. Very busy, low-contrast, or heavily gradiented photos get muddy because there is not enough separation between light and dark areas. We will look at your file before you pay and tell you honestly whether it will engrave well, and what we would change. No surprises after you have already paid.
The custom holographic commission is $300 and includes everything: the depth-map preparation, a proof for your approval, the full-surface 3D engraving, back-side engraving, a presentation wooden gift box, and tracked worldwide shipping. There are no hidden add-ons — the proof step exists so you approve the look before we cut metal.
1. Send us your artwork (Instagram @axlighter or the order form). 2. We review it and send a depth proof. 3. You approve or request changes. 4. We engrave, box it, and ship with tracking. Most commissions are in your hands within a few weeks of approval.
